Dulles Engineering (DE) is a SBE, DBE, and MBE certified firm established in 2017 to ensure the structural integrity of construction projects. Since our inception, we have built a strong reputation for delivering special inspections, material testing, and geotechnical engineering services to both public and private sector developments across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area.

Our expertise spans a variety of projects, including transportation infrastructure, commercial developments, and residential construction. We have successfully worked on multiple Department of Transportation (DOT) projects in Virginia, DC, and Maryland, contributing to the advancement of critical infrastructure in the region.

Leadership

Ali Dar, P.E.

Ali Dar is a Registered Professional Engineer with 30 years of experience specializing in quality assurance, quality control, and geotechnical engineering for major infrastructure projects, including rail, roadway, bridge, and parking structures, as well as commercial and residential developments in the private sector.

As Principal Engineer at Dulles Engineering, Mr. Dar leads the Construction Services team and is responsible for project management, oversight of field activities, and the management of our construction material testing laboratory.

Before joining Dulles Engineering, Mr. Dar served as the Project Quality Control Manager with Bechtel Corporation, overseeing the extension of the Washington Metro (Phase I) to Dulles Airport through the congested suburbs of the nation’s capital. He also served as the Special Inspections Engineer of Record for the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (Phase II), extending from Wiehle Avenue to Washington Dulles Airport.
